I caught a wild moment
By surprise
Entrapped it in a snare

And stole it from the past
Where it might stay
Naive and unaware

A flash, a click
It found itself in chains
And placed within somehow

The strange and hostile zoo
That is their future
And my here and now

In its frame
Still frozen as it was

So silent in its solitude
In permanent
And peaceful pause

I stopped, and thought a moment
Then I knew
I had the pow'r to choose

With just the lightest waver
